Places to Visit in BATAAN
Corregidor Island
Corregidor Island, locally called Isla ng Corregidor, is an island located at the entrance of Manila Bay in southwestern part of Luzon Island in the Philippines.
Sun Cruises, a tour company operating from the old Hoverferry terminal near the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex along Roxas Boulevard, provides ferry services to Corregidor. Its booking office can be contacted at 831-8140 or 834-6857. The cost of the tour includes roundtrip ferryboat transfers, shrine and terminal fees, guided island tour, and lunch. There is a scheduled trip that departs from Manila daily at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Corregidor a little over an hour. The air-conditioned ferryboat is clean, well maintained, and operated by an efficient and reliable crew who follow an on-time arrival and departure schedule. Onboard the boat are pretty female stewardesses who look into the needs and comfort of the passengers.
Subic Bay
Subic Bay is a bay on the west coast of the island of Luzon in the Philippines, about 100 kilometres northwest of Manila Bay..
Subic Bay is just a two-hour drive from Manila. It is most accesible through land transportation.
If you are going by car, take the Northern Expressway to the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway(SCTEx), then exit a few kilometers past the Angeles toll booth. Take the SCTEx in the direction of Subic. The SCTex merges with the Tipo expressway and further into the Subic Bay Freeport zone.
Mount Samat
Mount Samat National Shrine or Dambana ng Kagitingan is a historical shrine located near the summit of Mount Samat in the town of Pilár, Province of Bataan
